HPLC Analytical Module

An in-situ online analytical module has been successfully deployed on the Halo.5 SMB system.  This module allows for live analysis of feed and separation components, removing the need for a separate HPLC system!  The module utilizes an HPLC pump, a small analytical column and a DAD detector.  Controls are fully integrated into the Halo control system on a separate screen.

ChromWorks®!

Purist LLC is actively working towards the development of continuous SMB chromatography separations utilizing the new Purist Halo.5 SMB System. With a license of ChromWorks® and application support from Ypso-Facto (ypsofacto.com), Purist is moving forward with a plan to combine highly integrated, state of the art hardware with rapid method development to bring lower cost continuous SMB processing to a larger market. The strong industrial experience, scientific expertise and know-how in (bio)chemistry and process engineering will drive the development of more efficient, robust and innovative processes.

Purist LLC receives MTI grant for development of Halo.5

Purist, LLC has been awarded a Seed Grant from Maine Technology Institute for the development of the Halo.5 SMB system!

The project objective is to bring the HALO.5 Simulated Moving Bed Chromatography System design to completion, including a complete software package in a new automation platform. The Purist HALO.5 SMBC System is an integrated 6-column SMB system designed for rapid and continuous isolation and purification of chemical compounds at a high rate of productivity. The HALO.5 unit is capable of multiple separations including:
Nutraceuticals, Bio-Molecules, API and Chiral Products, Sweeteners, Petrochemicals, Proteins, Industrial Chemicals and Vegetable and Botanical Oils.
The funding requested will be applied towards development of control system software as well as cutting edge simulation software.
